Sunday:

Welcome cocktail in Asti with short introduction to your
Piedmont trip, welcome dinner at a renowned Asti restaurant. Overnight
at hotel.
Monday: B-L-D-O
Guided tour of a farm near Asti, to know and see how to prepare
the ground, how to plant and grow the vines and to create a
vineyard; country lunch; visit to different kind of vineyards, then
transfer to the Professional Tourism School of Agliano Terme to
have an interesting lesson in wine serving temperature and in the
importance of choosing the right glass; typical dinner. Overnight in
hotel.
Tuesday: B-L-D-O
Transfer to Pessione (TO) to visit the wine-making cellar of
Martini & Rossi Establishment, with its wine machinery; seminary
about the first phases of transformation from the grapes to the must and
the wine; visit to Martini Historical Museum; country lunch; afternoon
visit to a joinery near Asti, specialised in wooden barrels
realisation; gala dinner at a Michelin restaurant near Asti. Overnight
in hotel.
Wednesday: B-L-D-O
Visit to the Asti Spumante Consortium, including a lesson in charmat and
champenois methods; traditional lunch tasting the typical Monferrato
dish called “fritto misto”; afternoon transfer to Cisterna d’Asti,
to visit the castle with its exhibition of ancient stores and
laboratories; dinner at a renowned Asti restaurant. Overnight in hotel.
Thursday:
B-L-D-O
Visit to the ageing cellar of a farm near Asti, including
seminary about the different kind of wooden containers and tasting of
some differently aged wines; country lunch; afternoon excursion to
Nizza Monferrato: visit to a distillery, lesson in “grappa”
distillation and tasting, visit to Bersano Museum of old country life;
typical dinner at a characteristic wine restaurant in Asti. Overnight in
hotel.
Friday:
B-L-D-O
Visit to Gancia Cellars in Canelli, to see the production of
“spumante” and vermouth; visit to the Regional Enotheque of Asti Moscato
and lunch; afternoon visit to a cork factory and to various
establishments specialised in the production of the machinery for
pressing, wine-making, bottling and labelling. Traditional Asti dinner
at restaurant near Asti. Overnight in hotel.
Saturday: B-L-D-O
Visit to a cellar near Asti, tasting and seminary about the main
DOC and DOCG of the area; country lunch; afternoon at leisure in Asti
for shopping in the local market and shops; wine cocktail tasting at a
coffee-bar in the city centre; farewell dinner at a good Asti
restaurant. Overnight in hotel.
Sunday: B-L
Delivery of diplomas, goodbye wine cocktail and “Light Lunch”.
